The weather roller coaster has continue for the local area
and we are on the verge of experiencing another summer like weekend after a
couple very cool days. One week ago today began a period where Cleveland experienced three (3) out of four (4) days with record high temperatures. A strong storm
system that generated more than one hundred (100) reports of tornadoes moved
through late Monday causing the temperatures to tumble. Today will be the beginning
of another four (4) day stretch of very warm weather for the local area.
Another strong storm system will move through early next week sending
temperatures tumbling down yet again.
Currently a warm front is moving through the area spreading
rain showers across the area. Once this moves north this afternoon high
temperatures should rise well into the 70’s. Energy moving into the
Central Plains this afternoon will erupt thunderstorms although the main energy will not move out
until Saturday. This energy is currently moving through Southern California
with atypical heavy rains for this time of the year.
On Saturday and Sunday the area will located well in the
warm sector of the storm system. Daytime high temperatures will rise well into
the eighties (80’s) and overnight low temperatures will be very mild. As the
main upper level energy moves into the Central Plains on Saturday a severe
weather outbreak is anticipated.
On Saturday a severe weather outbreak is expected for the
central part of the nation as the pacific energy moves eastward. All modes of
severe weather including tornadoes will be possible across the area.
On Monday the storm system will move through the local area
during the evening and bring a threat of showers and thunderstorms. High
temperatures will rise again into the eighties (80’s) before the cold front
moves through. Severe weather will be possible and that threat will have to be monitored.
On Tuesday the area will see a markedly cooler air mass arrive as
high temperatures struggle to reach sixty (60) degrees. Temperatures will slowly warm through Thursday into the middle and upper sixties (60’s) as temperatures
will be just below seasonal values.
